Placement Service

The Placement Service assists individuals seeking employment in music librarianship. To this end, the Placement Officer lists positions available in academic, public, performing arts, orchestra, conservatory, media, and radio libraries. Search positions here. When possible, successful candidates are listed on the Recently Filled Positions page.

Postings do not constitute endorsements by the Music Library Association or its officers.

How to Post an Announcement

To have a vacancy listed, email MLA's Placement Officer with the published announcement. The Placement Officer will generally post new advertisements within 48 hours of notification, excluding holidays and weekends, to the Placement Service, the Music Library Association twitter account, and MLA’s listserv.
