The MLA calendar displays event dates and titles in the left rail of the web site with a full listing of events. As a focal point of the MLA web site, the calendar is used to promote events of interest to members and non-members focusing on music materials.

Events listed on the calendar would include but not be limited to:

  • IAML events
  • Annual meeting dates
  • Annual meeting registration dates
  • Music librarian workshops
  • MLA grant application deadlines
  • MLA publication awards deadlines
  • Annual meeting conference proposal submissions deadlines
  • MLA Board meetings
  • Chapter annual meetings
  • Annual meetings of affiliate organizations including ARSC, AMS, SEM, etc.

MLA, IAML, and chapter sponsored events will be included on the calendar and displayed in the left rail of all MLA webpages. Annual meeting events from related music organizations will be displayed in the full calendar view alongside MLA events. These organizations will provide additional skills and knowledge that support the growth of MLA members.

To have your event listed in the MLA calendar, please fill out the submission form.  This form is open only to members of the Music Library Association.  The Web Committee will evaluate event requests on a case-by-case basis to determine if the event is hosted by an MLA group or if the item is of non-commercial interest to those with music library interests.
