Beth Christensen is Music Librarian at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where she supervises professional, paraprofessional, and student staff. Her responsibilities and interests include reference, instruction, collection development, and administration. In addition to her work as Music Librarian, Beth has served as Interim College Librarian at St. Olaf and has participated in numerous search committees throughout the College. Currently a member of the Career Development and Services Committee, Beth has been involved with a variety of MLA committees, has been a member of the MLA Board, Chair of the MLA Midwest Chapter, and was Program Chair for the 1992 meeting in Baltimore. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree, and Master’s degrees in both Library and Information Science and Musicology.
Joe Clark is the Head of the Performing Arts Library at Kent State University, where he provides reference, instruction, and collection development to the Schools of Music and Theatre and Dance. Before Kent State he was the Digital & Audiovisual Media Librarian at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he managed the Library Media Department and Slide Library. Mr. Clark has been actively involved in search committees for faculty, administrative and support staff positions. He currently services on MLA's Career Development and Services Committee and holds a BA in Music and MA degrees in Ethnomusicology and Library Science.
Susannah Cleveland is the Head of the Music Library and Sound Recordings Archives at Bowling Green State University, where she oversees activities of staff at several levels, as well as having ultimate responsibility for operations in the music library and teaching the graduate music research course. Previously, she was the Music Recordings and Digital Resources Librarian at the University of North Texas Music Library, in which capacity she planned and oversaw digital projects, special collections processing, and circulating sound recording collections. She holds a B.M. in Music History from Baylor University, and an M.M. in Musicology and an M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas in Denton. She has served on numerous search committees and participated in all stages of the search process.
Michael Duffy is Associate Professor and Performing Arts Librarian at Western Michigan University. Before his appointment in 2014, he was Music Librarian at Northern Illinois University Libraries since 2002. From 2007 to 2012, he was Head of Branch Libraries, and was the Head of the Special Collections Department from 2012 to 2014. At Northern Illinois University, he has served on several search committees. He holds an MLIS from Dominican University, an MM in musicology from Northwestern University, and a BM, magna cum laude, in music education from Western Michigan University, where he graduated from the Lee Honors College. Before entering graduate studies in librarianship and musicology, Michael was a public school music teacher. He has been a member of the Music Library Association since 2001 and is currently a member-at-large of the MLA Board of Directors. He served as Secretary/Treasurer of the MLA Midwest Chapter from 2003 until 2007, and serves on its Membership and Publications Committees. He has also been a member of the Music OCLC Users Group since 2002. His writings have appeared in Music Reference Services Quarterly, The Reference Librarian, Notes: The Quarterly Journal of the Music Library Association, and Choice.
Jennifer Hunt is the Library Director at The Boston Conservatory. She has supervised professional librarians, paraprofessional assistants, temporary employees, student workers, and the occasional volunteer. She is responsible for all aspects of hiring employees for the library, and has participated on interview committees for professional staff positions, including her immediate supervisor’s position at the Conservatory. Jennifer holds an M.L.S. in Library Science, an M.A. in Musicology, and a B.M. in Flute Performance from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. Jennifer has recently served a term as MLA’s Conservatory Libraries Roundtable Coordinator and was on the Program Committee for the 2010 national meeting. Regionally, Jennifer has served as the Coordinator for BAML (Boston Area Music Libraries) and the Chair of the New England Music Library Association.
Sheridan ("Sheri") Stormes holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Butler University and a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Science from Indiana University. She has successfully completed graduate coursework in general library management, academic library management, and advanced personnel management. Sheri has been employed by the Butler Libraries of Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana since 1976. Throughout her tenure, she has served in various administrative capacities, including Acting Head of Reference, Assistant Director of Public Services, Acting Director of Libraries, Associate Dean and Head of Public Services and Performing & Fine Arts Librarian. She has supervised both professional and support staff members and has been actively involved in search committees for positions in virtually all levels of the academic hierarchy, including faculty, administrative and professional staff, and support staff. Most recently, Sheri chaired the MLA Placement Officer Search Committee. In addition, she has participated as a mentor/advisor in the Mentoring Program and Career Advisory Service sponsored by the MLA Career Development and Services Committee and has been active as a member of the Résumé Review Service review team since its inception in 2004. Sheri served on the MLA Personnel Subcommittee/Career Development and Services Committee for a total of nine years, including five years as Chair. In addition, Sheri has served as a program coordinator and/or presenter for several professional organizations' (including MLA) programs relating to employment issues. Sheri is the current Chair of the the Midwest Chapter of the Music Library Association and has served on both its Membership Committee and Public Services Committee.
Lisa Woznicki is Library Liaison to Dance, Music and Theatre, Towson University, Towson, MD. Before coming to work at the Albert S. Cook Library at Towson University in 2001, Lisa was an Assistant Library Manager for the Baltimore County Public Library. She has served on or chaired a number of librarian faculty and staff position search committees for Cook Library, as well as professional staff position interview panels for BCPL. Lisa is currently the Secretary for the Promotion and Permanent Status Committee for Librarian Faculty at Towson University. As a tenured faculty member, Lisa has trained librarian faculty members on creating promotional and permanent status dossiers and guided them through the tenure track process. In the past, Lisa has served as the Coordinator for the Résumé and Cover Letter Review Service. She is a member of the Career Development Services Committee of MLA and has a BS in Music Literature, a BA in English Literature, an MLS, and is currently working on a MS in Music Education.
