Position Title: Cataloging Coordinator
Institution: Sam Houston State University
General Information: Sam Houston State University seeks a Cataloging Coordinator to join a collegial work environment of 16 librarians and 29 staff. Our campus of 15,000-plus students is located 50 minutes north of Houston in Huntsville, Texas.
Duties: Coordinate cataloging unit activities; train and supervise 3.5 staff. Identify and resolve bibliographic and holdings problems for monographs and non-serial formats; provide original cataloging as needed.
Qualifications:

Required: ALA-accredited Master's degree; professional monographs cataloging experience using OCLC, LC Classification, LCSH, AACR2, and authority control; supervisory/management experience.

Desirable: Academic library background, experience with metadata and various bibliographic formats (especially music); ability to manipulate ILS to identify/resolve cataloging problems; additional advanced degree.

Salary, Rank & Benefits:

This is a 12-month, tenure-track position with faculty rank and status reporting to the Assistant Director for Technical/Collection Services.

Salary: Minimum $47,500 with benefits package.
