Beth Christensen is Music Librarian at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where she supervises professional, paraprofessional, and student staff. Her responsibilities and interests include reference, instruction, collection development, and administration. In addition to her work as Music Librarian, Beth has served as Interim College Librarian at St. Olaf and has participated in numerous search committees throughout the College. Currently a member of the Personnel Subcommittee and Dena Epstein Award Committee, Beth has been involved with a variety of MLA committees, has been a member of the MLA Board, Chair of the MLA Midwest Chapter, and was Program Chair for the 1992 meeting in Baltimore. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree, and Master’s degrees in both Library and Information Science and Musicology.
Joe Clark is the Digital & Audiovisual Media Librarian at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he manages the Library Media Department and Slide Library. He provides reference, instruction, and collection development to all Fine Arts departments, and has been actively involved in search committees for faculty, administrative and support staff positions. Joe currently services on MLA's Career Development Committee and chairs MLA's Resource Sharing and Collection Development Committee. He holds a BA in Music and MA degrees in Ethnomusicology and Library Science.
Susannah Cleveland is the Head of the Music Library and Sound Recordings Archives at Bowling Green State University, where she oversees activities of staff at several levels. Previously, she was the Music Recordings and Digital Resources Librarian at the University of North Texas Music Library, in which capacity she planned and oversaw digital projects, special collections processing, and circulating sound recording collections. She holds a B.M. in Music History from Baylor University, and an M.M. in Musicology and an M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas in Denton. She has served on numerous search committees and participated in all stages of the search process. Currently, Susannah serves as the Placement Officer for MLA.
Michael Duffy has been Music Librarian at Northern Illinois University Libraries since 2002. Since 2007, he has been Head of Branch Libraries, and currently holds the rank of Associate Professor. He holds an M.L.I.S. from Dominican University, an M.M. in musicology from Northwestern University, and a B.M., magna cum laude, in music education from Western Michigan University. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University’s Lee Honors College, where he completed his honors thesis, “A Study of the Symbolism in Paul Hindemith’s Sonata for Trumpet in B-flat and Piano” in 1997. Before entering graduate studies in librarianship and musicology, Michael was a public school music teacher. He has been a member of the Music Library Association since 2001 and is currently a member of the MLA Career Development and Services Committee, and Reference and Access Services Subcommittee. He served as Secretary/Treasurer of the MLA Midwest Chapter from 2003 until 2007, is chair of its Membership Committee, and serves on its Publications Committee. He has been a member of the Music OCLC Users Group since 2002, and he has been a member of the Midwest Chapter of the American Musicological Society since 2004. He has published articles and reviews in Music Reference Services Quarterly, The Reference Librarian, Notes: The Quarterly Journal of the Music Library Association, and Choice. He is also book review editor for Music Reference Services Quarterly.
Alan Ringwood is Head of the Music Cataloging Unit for the University of Texas Libraries. Previously he was the Faculty Music Cataloger at the University of South Carolina. Alan has supervised professional librarians, paraprofessional staff, graduate assistants, and library school interns. He is Co-Chair of the Professional Staff Affairs Committee of the University of Texas Libraries. At South Carolina he served on the Library Faculty Development Committee, including one year as Chair, as well as a number of search committees. As a member of SEMLA, MLA's Southeast Chapter, he was appointed Asst. Editor, then Editor of Breve Notes, the chapter's newsletter. Alan holds an M.L.S. degree from Indiana University, as well as B.M. and M.M. degrees from Boston University. He is a member of the MLA Personnel Subcommittee, and Coordinator of the Résumé Review Service for the 2008 and 2009 MLA Conferences.
Sheridan ("Sheri") Stormes received her M.S. degree in Library and Information Science from Indiana University in 1982. She has taken classes in general library management, academic library management, and advanced personnel management. Sheri has been a librarian at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana for over 31 years. Throughout her tenure, she has served in various administrative capacities, including Acting Head of Reference, Assistant Director of Public Services, Acting Director of Libraries, Associate Dean and Head of Public Services and Music & Fine Arts Librarian. She has supervised both professional and support staff members and has been actively involved in search committees for positions in virtually all levels of the academic hierarchy, including faculty, administrative and professional staff, and support staff. She has been active as a member of the Résumé Review Service review team since the service was begun at the MLA Annual Meeting in Arlington, Virginia in 2004. Sheri has served two terms as a member of the Personnel Subcommittee, including one year as the Subcommittee Chair.
Lisa Woznicki is Library Liaison to Dance, Music and Theatre, Towson University, Towson, MD. Before coming to work at the Albert S. Cook Library at Towson University in 2001, Lisa was an Assistant Library Manager for the Baltimore County Public Library. She has served on or chaired a number of librarian faculty and staff position search committees for Cook Library, as well as professional staff position interview panels for BCPL. Lisa is currently the Secretary for the Promotion and Permanent Status Committee for Librarian Faculty at Towson University. As a tenured faculty member, Lisa has trained librarian faculty members on creating promotional and permanent status dossiers and guided them through the tenure track process. Lisa is currently the Coordinator for the Résumé and Cover Letter Review Service for 2009 and the 2010 MLA Conference.
