General Information
37.5 hours/week; includes one night shift (1:30-10:00) per week and up to two Friday evening shifts (11:00-7:00) and two Saturdays a month.
Position Details

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting students and faculty with research
  • Assisting in the development of the Library’s Collections
  • Providing formal and informal Information Literacy instruction
  • Technical services (familiarity with both AACR2 and RDA preferred)
  • Supervising student workers
  • Serving on College committees and sharing in College governance
  • Performing all other functions generally associated with librarianship
Qualifications

 Requirements:

  •   MLS degree from an ALA-accredited institution  
  •   Technological competency 
  •   Customer service-oriented attitude 
  •   Ability to work both independently and as part of a team  
  •   Eagerness to work with a diverse student population.

    Candidates with an educational background in Business, Audio Recording, Film/Video Production, Theatre, or Jazz and Popular Music will be given preference.  
Salary and Benefits
Compensation: $38,000 plus health insurance and 401K. Paid time off after probationary period.
