Purpose:
To advise and support the operation of the MLA Archives at the University of Maryland. It develops policies for collection development, records retirement, use of the archives, collection of personal and fugitive papers, and institutional cooperation; encourages bibliographic and historic projects; and assists the curator as necessary.
