The Task Force is charged to advise
and support the work of the Music Thesaurus Project (MTP).
The Form/Genre Working Group was formed to assist the director of Music
Thesaurus Project, Harriette Hemmasi, in identifying and researching form/genre terms in
LC music headings for inclusion in the music thesaurus.
The Working Group continues efforts in converting and distributing the music
subject headings files and in the identification process of form/genre vocabulary. The two groups plan tentatively to make a
presentation on progress of the thesaurus at the MLA annual meeting in New York.
